Jakarta, February 5, 2025 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, has once again been entrusted by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC Line) to handle its new service, Bayan Ko. This service connects five countries along the route: Jakarta – Batangas – Manila North – Davao – Shekou – Hong Kong – Yantian – Ho Chi Minh – Vung Tau – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Port Klang. The inaugural voyage was marked by the arrival of MV MSC Tara III at Terminal 3 IPC TPK, Tanjung Priok Port.

“IPC TPK fully supports shipping companies in introducing new services to accommodate the growing trade volumes with ASEAN countries and China, both of which have demonstrated positive trade trends and an increase in export values throughout 2024. Over the past year, IPC TPK has implemented various operational transformations, digitalization initiatives, and equipment electrification to enhance service efficiency and performance,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary & External Relations of IPC TPK.

The CEO of IPC TPK, Guna Mulyana, along with IPC TPK management, welcomed the launch of this new service alongside Hayati Koenda, Deputy General Manager of MSC Line Commercial, and Bimo Nugroho, Country Sales Manager of MSC Line, at Terminal 3 IPC TPK, Tanjung Priok Port, on February 1, 2025.

The Monrovia-flagged vessel, MV MSC Tara III, has a LOA of 200 meters and a beam of 32 meters. During its stop at IPC TPK, the vessel handled 369 container moves. The Bayan Ko Service replaces MSC Line’s previous Lang Co Service, incorporating new destinations into its route. Notably, this is the first service connecting Jakarta directly to Manila North Harbor.
