Jakarta, February 6, 2025 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, has provided First Aid Training for employees to improve their preparedness in handling emergency situations and saving lives. IPC TPK collaborated with the North Jakarta Red Cross (PMI Jakarta Utara) as the training provider. This initiative is part of IPC TPK’s Corporate Social Responsibility (TJSL) program in support of National Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Month 2025.

“Occupational Health and Safety (K3) is a crucial aspect of both professional environments and daily life. One of the key skills in K3 is the ability to administer first aid in the event of an accident or emergency,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary & External Relations of IPC TPK, in her opening remarks.

According to PMI Jakarta Utara, this is the first-ever First Aid Training held within the Pelindo Group at Tanjung Priok. The two-day training covered human anatomy basics, emergency response techniques, and hands-on rescue exercises using medical equipment. A total of 27 employees from various IPC TPK operational areas participated enthusiastically in the training.

Sarjono, a trainer from PMI Jakarta Utara, expressed his appreciation to IPC TPK for organizing this initiative, emphasizing the importance of first aid knowledge for employees to ensure a safer workplace and mutual care among colleagues.

This training aligns with Regulation of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration No. PER.15/MEN/VIII/2008 on First Aid in the Workplace, which mandates that employers must appoint and assign competent first aid personnel and ensure the availability of proper first aid facilities at all times.

“We hope this training equips employees with the necessary skills to handle emergency situations effectively and enables them to provide first aid assistance to colleagues and the surrounding community,” Pramestie concluded.
