Jakarta, May 19, 2025 – PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas that manages several strategic container terminals across Indonesia, recorded a 19% increase in container throughput in April 2025, reaching 1,086,766 TEUs, compared to 912,680 TEUs in the same period in 2024.

This achievement reflects growing trust from service users in IPC TPK’s terminal services, as well as the company’s continued efforts to enhance operational efficiency, digital services, and collaboration with shipping lines and port stakeholders.

“This performance growth reaffirms the role of IPC TPK-managed terminals in ensuring smooth cargo flow at ports, while supporting Pelindo’s efforts to strengthen the national supply chain,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary & External Relations at IPC TPK.

Operational performance in April 2025 showed a significant increase across most ports operated by IPC TPK compared to April 2024. Tanjung Priok Area 1 recorded a growth of 26.1%, followed by Tanjung Priok Area 2 with an increase of 19.1%. In Sumatra, Panjang Area saw a 62.4% rise, Palembang Area grew by 17.9%, and Teluk Bayur Area increased by 50.75%. In West Kalimantan, Pontianak Area also saw a growth of 2.7%.

As part of the integrated Pelindo ecosystem post-merger, IPC TPK plays an active role in advancing Pelindo’s mission to create an efficient and integrated maritime connectivity network. This positive performance also aligns with the government’s policy direction in the logistics and maritime sectors, including port service transformation programs.

“We fully support Pelindo’s and the government’s strategic directives in driving national logistics efficiency. Our role is to ensure that the terminals we manage operate optimally, safely, and productively,” Pramestie added.

The increase in IPC TPK’s container volume also coincides with the national economic recovery in Q2 2025, which is showing an expansion trend across various sectors, particularly manufacturing and trade. Stable export-import activity and rising domestic logistics demand are key drivers behind the surge in activity at IPC TPK terminals.

By prioritizing customer service, digitalization, and yard productivity improvements, IPC TPK is committed to being a reliable logistics partner for industry players and shipping lines, while ensuring smooth cargo flow to and from Indonesia’s major ports.
