Panjang, October 1, 2025 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Panjang Area has set a record for the largest service volume in the history of Panjang Port, Lampung Province. This milestone was marked by the docking of MSC Beira IV, carrying 1,521 TEUs of export containers, with a total loading and unloading volume reaching 2,169 TEUs. The arrival of MSC Beira IV boosted Panjang Port’s export volume by 171% compared to August 2025 and by 279% compared to September 2024.
“The significant increase in exports from Lampung shows that Panjang Port has great potential to enhance international trade from South Sumatra. IPC TPK is ready to provide reliable and efficient services to every shipping line that entrusts its vessels to dock at Panjang,” said Anang Subagyono, Manager of IPC TPK Panjang Area.
MSC Beira IV docked at IPC TPK Panjang’s berth E (berth 2) on September 28, unloading 648 TEUs and loading 1,521 TEUs before departing for Singapore on September 30. The main commodities shipped included 470 TEUs of coffee, 400 TEUs of pineapples, 214 TEUs of LDC palm oil products, 100 TEUs of tapioca starch, and 92 TEUs of pulp. The arrival of MSC Beira IV supports export activities of domestic producers in Lampung Province such as Great Giant Pineapple, PT LDC Indonesia, Sungai Budi Group, and PT Tanjung Enim Lestari.
Over the past three years, IPC TPK’s collaboration with MSC Line has demonstrated strong synergy in delivering sustainable international shipping services across various regions in Indonesia. Services such as Bayan Ko Service, Koala Service, and Pertiwi Service are clear evidence that the partnership has successfully expanded trade access for exporters and importers, especially in southern Sumatra.
The arrival of MSC Beira IV as part of the MSC Pertiwi Service reinforces the strategic role of IPC TPK and MSC in providing routes from Lampung to major hubs in Asia, including Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Korea, and China. MSC Beira IV is part of the MSC Pertiwi Service, which sails the route Jakarta – Bandar Lampung – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Busan – Qingdao – Incheon – Dalian – Tianjin. This route enables businesses in China and Korea to ship goods to Indonesia. The service not only brings Indonesia closer to global markets but also creates logistics cost efficiency, accelerates delivery times, and enhances the competitiveness of national flagship commodities in international markets.
