Jakarta, 22 December 2025 – The Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), conducted an inspection of operational readiness at Tanjung Priok Port in anticipation of increased logistics flows ahead of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru). The visit covered several operational points, including the Integrated Planning and Control Room, to directly observe the management of cargo flows within the container terminal area.
During the visit, Minister AHY was accompanied by the Board of Directors of Pelindo’s Port Holding, Pelindo Regional 2, the Boards of Directors of Pelindo subsidiaries and affiliated container terminal operators, the Director General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, the Director General of Transportation Integration and Multimodal of the Ministry of Transportation, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara, and the President Director of Pelni.
At the Integrated Planning and Control Room of Tanjung Priok Port, managed by IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), Minister AHY observed firsthand how container terminal operations are monitored and controlled in an integrated manner, particularly during the days leading up to the year-end long holiday. Through this facility, logistics flows, vessel movements, and loading and unloading activities can be monitored in real time, serving as the basis for operational decision-making.
“As we approach the Christmas and New Year period, we must all continue to ensure that Pelindo’s operations—both container and non-container terminals—run well, safely, and smoothly,” said Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
Technical briefings were delivered in an integrated manner by the Boards of Directors of Pelindo, IPC TPK, and the management of container terminal operators, namely TPK Koja, Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT), and NPCT 1. All terminal operators presented their respective operational readiness to maintain smooth cargo flows, including vessel berthing arrangements, yard capacity management, and on-site coordination during the Nataru period.
The Director of Operations and Engineering of IPC Terminal Petikemas emphasized that a digital-based planning and control approach, supported by intensive coordination with all stakeholders, is key to maintaining logistics service stability during the year-end peak period.
“IPC TPK is committed to ensuring the smooth flow of national logistics during the Christmas and New Year period. We are ready to support government policies related to cargo flow management during the year-end holiday season and have prepared a series of risk mitigation measures to anticipate potential surges in container volumes,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK.
IPC TPK’s risk mitigation measures include optimizing vessel berthing planning, managing yard capacity, strengthening operational coordination among terminals, and ensuring the readiness of resources and equipment so that services remain reliable and sustainable. Through this inspection, the government and all container terminal operators at Tanjung Priok Port reaffirmed their shared commitment to maintaining the smooth distribution of national logistics amid increased mobility and demand for goods during the Nataru period.
“Through the Planning and Control Room, we ensure that all container terminals are connected within a single control system. With real-time monitoring and intensive field coordination, container flows can be managed more precisely, allowing potential congestion to be anticipated at an early stage,” Pramestie concluded.
