Jakarta, March 10, 2026 – Amid rising humanitarian needs both locally and globally, support and solidarity from various parties have become increasingly meaningful. Inspired by the spirit of sharing during Ramadan, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) together with its employees distributed Rp200 million in zakat funds to support mustahik around the company’s operational areas as well as communities affected by the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
The zakat funds were collected through contributions from IPC TPK employees and the company, coordinated by the Islamic Da’wah Development Center (PPDI) of IPC TPK, and were distributed through credible humanitarian and philanthropic organizations: Lazisku, Adara Relief International, and Rumah Zakat.
Chairman of PPDI IPC TPK, Agus Fazri, explained that the distributed zakat represents a collective act of compassion involving both employees and the company.
“This zakat comes from contributions made by IPC TPK employees and the company. We distribute it through credible institutions so that the benefits can reach mustahik both in the surrounding communities and those in need in Palestine,” said Agus.
A total of Rp100 million was distributed through Lazisku to support communities in need around IPC TPK’s operational areas. Meanwhile, Rp50 million was channeled through Adara Relief International to assist mustahik in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, and the remaining Rp50 million was distributed through Rumah Zakat to support residents in need in North Jakarta.
The zakat distribution reflects IPC TPK’s efforts to deliver broader benefits, not only to communities surrounding the company but also to global communities facing humanitarian challenges.
“The assistance distributed through Adara Relief International will be provided in the form of Eid gifts for Gaza orphans. Collaborations like this bring hope to many families in Palestine,” said Maryam, President Director of Adara Relief International.
Through this initiative, IPC TPK hopes that the spirit of sharing nurtured within the company can provide tangible benefits to those in need while strengthening the values of social care that form an integral part of the company’s culture.
