Jakarta, March 27, 2025 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, guarantees that container loading and unloading services will continue as usual throughout the 2025 Eid holiday period. Several measures have been prepared, including ensuring the readiness of equipment and facilities, organizing workforce availability, maintaining intensive coordination with service users and port stakeholders, optimizing services to manage yard occupancy ratio (YOR) and potential long stays, and deploying security personnel to ensure smooth traffic flow within the port.

Corporate Secretary & External Relations of IPC TPK, Pramestie Wulandary, explained the strategies prepared by IPC TPK to ensure service continuity for customers conducting loading and unloading activities. On Eid day, IPC TPK at the Tanjung Priok area is scheduled to handle the loading and unloading of 17 vessels, both domestic and international.

This strategy aligns with Pelindo Holding’s commitment to supporting national logistics flow. IPC TPK’s measures are part of its support for Pelindo Holding’s program, which provides incentives for service users conducting unloading/import activities of goods and full containers during the transportation restriction period and homecoming traffic from March 24, 2025, to the return flow on April 8, 2025.

According to Antara, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs has observed an increase in public purchasing power, accompanied by positive growth in the manufacturing sector during Ramadan and leading up to Eid 2025. Additionally, several commodities have contributed to deflation. As a result, port activities, especially at Tanjung Priok Port—the main logistics gateway in Java—are expected to experience a surge in cargo traffic.

IPC TPK is committed to delivering the best services by optimizing operational efficiency across all work areas. In February, IPC TPK recorded positive performance with a 17% increase compared to the same period last year. IPC TPK’s performance reached 271,521 TEUs, whereas in February 2024, it recorded 232,001 TEUs. This increase was driven by several factors, including higher container volumes at Tanjung Priok Port and Dwikora Port in Pontianak, rising export and import commodities in the Southern Sumatra region—such as rubber, coconut, fertilizer, coffee, bananas, and refined glycerine—and growing demand for ceramic and wood pallet commodities in the Jambi region.
