Jakarta, March 26, 2025 – As the Eid al-Fitr 1446 H holiday season begins, IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) has sent off participants of the Pelindo 2025 Free Homecoming Program from the 223X yard at Tanjung Priok Port. This Mudik Bersama (Joint Homecoming) event has become an annual tradition organized by Pelindo Group at the end of Ramadan. IPC TPK provided five tourism-standard buses, transporting hundreds of homecoming travelers from Jakarta to Semarang.
Director of Finance, Human Resources & Risk Management, Yanuar Evyanto, stated that this program is part of the company’s commitment to providing the best service to the community, especially around the port area, while also supporting the government in easing traffic congestion on land routes during the homecoming season.
“This is my first time joining this program. Alhamdulillah, it’s a great help, especially in these tough economic times. I’m grateful to be able to return to my hometown without having to spend a large amount of money. The journey is also more comfortable and well-organized,” said Suci, one of the participants traveling to Semarang.
The Pelindo Joint Homecoming Program has been running for the past 15 years, transporting hundreds of thousands of travelers to their hometowns. Thanks to the collaboration within Pelindo Group, this program is held simultaneously in several regions, deploying 177 buses to 19 destinations. The symbolic send-off of the free homecoming buses was conducted by Pelindo’s Deputy President Director, Hambra, and Pelindo’s Director of Human Resources & General Affairs, Ihsannudin Usman. They were accompanied by the directors of Pelindo’s sub-holdings and subsidiaries, including IPC TPK’s President Director, Guna Mulyana, and IPC TPK’s Director of Finance, Human Resources & Risk Management, Yanuar Evyanto.
IPC TPK provided buses equipped with adequate facilities, along with lunch, snacks, bottled water, uniforms, and souvenirs for all Pelindo Free Homecoming participants. Prior to departure, all drivers and assistant drivers underwent health checks (including urine tests) to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers.
The free homecoming program brings tangible benefits, such as reducing transportation costs for the community (aligned with SDG 8), alleviating traffic congestion and air pollution in major cities by encouraging the use of public transportation (aligned with SDG 11), and promoting more efficient mass transportation to reduce carbon emissions from private vehicles, supporting climate change mitigation efforts (aligned with SDG 13).
