Jakarta, October 9, 2025 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) supports the implementation of the Sharing Knowledge Indonesia for MOWCA (Maritime Organization of West and Central Africa) program, as a follow-up to the meeting held during the IMO (International Maritime Organization) session in 2024. Rudi Dwinanda, Senior Operations Manager, attended as a speaker and delivered a presentation on port management, particularly container terminals. IPC TPK’s involvement reflects its support for the government’s commitment to enhancing human resource capacity in the maritime sector for West and Central African countries. IPC TPK represented Pelindo as a resource person, sharing insights on port operations in Indonesia.
“We fully support the Ministry of Transportation’s efforts as a form of economic diplomacy and to introduce Indonesia’s maritime industry to MOWCA member countries,” said Rudi Dwinanda, Senior Operations Manager of IPC TPK, during his presentation to the MOWCA delegation.
The Sharing Knowledge Indonesia for MOWCA program was attended by 75 participants from countries in West and Central Africa. The program was conducted in two batches and included training sessions such as the Training Course for Instructor (T.O.T IMO Model Course 6.09), the Training Course for Assessment Examination (T.O.E IMO Model Course 3.12), and port visits. The event was also attended by STIP Chairman Dr. Capt. Tri Cahyadi, M.H, M.Mar; Secretary of the Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Transportation Dr. Capt. Wisnu Handoko, M.Sc; PT Temas, Tbk Director Widi Kiswanto; ARTIMU Group Sales Director Donny Saksono; and other officials from the Ministry of Transportation and maritime industry stakeholders.
This initiative marks a step toward strengthening intercontinental cooperation and reinforces Indonesia’s commitment to becoming a Category C member of the IMO Council. Such membership recognizes Indonesia’s presence in the international maritime sector and provides an opportunity to participate in shaping key IMO policies that impact global maritime affairs.
