Jakarta, November 4, 2025 – IPC TPK continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing Indonesia’s maritime connectivity with Southeast Asia. Through strategic collaboration with three international shipping lines, IPC TPK now offers three direct call services connecting Terminal 3 of Tanjung Priok Port directly to major ports in Vietnam.
The MV Feng Hai 98, operated by Iran Shipping Line, officially docked on October 31 at IPC TPK’s Terminal 3 in Tanjung Priok as part of the launch of a new direct call service to Hai Phong, Vietnam. On its maiden voyage, the vessel handled 395 containers for loading and unloading. Its route includes Jakarta – Port Klang – Hai Phong – Jakarta.
“This step is a tangible proof of IPC TPK’s commitment to supporting the growth of national exports, particularly to Vietnam, which is rapidly emerging as an industrial and logistics hub in Southeast Asia,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK.
Throughout 2025, IPC TPK has partnered with three international shipping lines to strengthen export routes to the region: KM HT Progress from FIAS Shipping Line serving Bangkok and Vietnam; MV Alvan from HDAS Co in collaboration with Karana Line; and MV Feng Hai 98 from Iran Shipping Line with Hai Phong as its final destination. These services not only expand the reach of Indonesia’s logistics network but also offer time and cost efficiencies for exporters.
On a broader scale, the governments of Indonesia and Vietnam aim to reach a bilateral trade value of USD 18 billion (approximately IDR 294.1 trillion) by 2028. This collaboration marks a significant step toward a more comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Hai Phong is recognized as a key port city in Northern Vietnam and a pioneer in developing green and sustainable logistics. According to Vietnam.vn, the city is built on three main pillars: industry-technology, port-logistics, and tourism-trade.
