Jakarta, 22 December 2025 – As the year 2025 draws to a close, IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) once again demonstrated its operational readiness by serving an additional Adhoc Service opened by shipping line CMA CGM. This service was introduced in response to the high demand for cargo shipments at year-end and to maintain the smooth flow of international logistics.
The vessel MV Hai Yun berthed at IPC TPK Terminal Operation 3, Tanjung Priok, on the Shanghai – Jakarta – Singapore route on 21 December 2025 at 15:00 WIB. The presence of this adhoc service is expected to increase cargo capacity from China and the Intra-Asia region to Indonesia, while also mitigating the risk of limited vessel space (space constraints) that often occurs during the year-end peak period.
Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that support for new services is part of the company’s commitment to fostering effective collaboration with various shipping lines. “IPC TPK is committed to being a strategic partner for shipping companies by providing terminal services that are ready, flexible, and responsive to market needs through operational readiness and planning-based services,” said Pramestie.
MV Hai Yun, a Singapore-flagged vessel with a length overall (LOA) of 170 meters and a beam of 28 meters, recorded a total of 742 container boxes handled during loading and unloading operations before continuing its voyage to Singapore. The berthing and vessel operations were supported by the implementation of integrated planning-based services, including berthing on arrival, to minimize vessel waiting time.
Based on data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), China remains Indonesia’s largest non-oil and gas export destination, contributing 23.51% of total non-oil and gas exports during the January–October 2025 period, with a value of US$52.45 billion. This condition underscores the importance of reliable shipping services in maintaining national export competitiveness.
