Jakarta, February 27, 2026 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) continues to strengthen its commitment to community empowerment by providing soft skill training and professional certification to 25 youths in the Cilincing–Kalibaru area, North Jakarta. The program equips participants with competencies in Content Creation, Digital Marketing, and Web Development, officially certified by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
This program is a continuation of a previous training initiative attended by 30 participants in the fields of graphic design, digital marketing, and content creation. In the earlier program, the majority of participants successfully completed the training and obtained competency certifications. Several participants even experienced increased income after acquiring additional digital skills. Seeing these positive results, IPC TPK expanded the program to enable more productive-age youth in the coastal areas of North Jakarta to access competency development opportunities.
IPC TPK Corporate Secretary Pramestie Wulandary stated that developing the capacity of young people is part of the company’s social strategy to create long-term impact in communities surrounding its operational areas.
“We want this Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program to deliver sustainable benefits. With official certification, participants gain competencies that are relevant to current industry needs while also opening opportunities for employment or independent entrepreneurship,” said Pramestie.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Head of Kalibaru Subdistrict, the Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Technology Jakarta, the Chairman of the North Jakarta Regional Board of Pemuda Muhammadiyah, and the Chairman of the Cilincing Branch of Pemuda Muhammadiyah, reflecting collaborative support in strengthening the capacity of youth around the port area.
The training was conducted in a hybrid format with a practice-based approach. In addition to technical learning, participants worked on real projects as part of their portfolios before taking the competency assessment required to obtain official certification from BNSP. This scheme was designed to ensure participants not only understand the theory but also possess tangible proof of competence that can enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
In implementing the program, IPC TPK collaborated with the Cilincing Branch of Pemuda Muhammadiyah as a community organization partner, while also involving professional mentors and competency certification institutions. The collaboration between the company, community organizations, and educational institutions serves as a strategic approach to building a sustainable community development ecosystem.
The Chairman of the North Jakarta Regional Board of Pemuda Muhammadiyah, Rizki, appreciated the consistency of the program.
“Synergy between the government, community organizations, and the private sector is crucial in developing the capabilities of young people. We appreciate the support of the Pelindo Group through IPC TPK in providing skill development programs for communities around the port area,” he said.
This program is part of IPC TPK’s community development approach, which focuses not only on improving human resource capacity but also on environmental and safety aspects. Previously, IPC TPK implemented the Kebun Kompos Program in Papanggo Subdistrict to support organic waste management, as well as Fire Emergency Response Training in Warakas Subdistrict.
The activity was carried out through a Joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme with entities within the Pelindo Group, as a form of synergy to expand the impact of community empowerment in areas surrounding operational sites. With a total of 55 youths participating across two program periods, IPC TPK hopes this initiative will encourage the economic independence of young people while creating a more productive and supportive social environment in the coastal areas of North Jakarta.
