Padang, February 25, 2026 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) continues to strengthen facilities and conduct operational evaluations at the Teluk Bayur Port Area to ensure the smooth flow of container loading and unloading services. This step is part of the company’s commitment to responding to feedback from service users while maintaining the reliability of the terminal as a logistics hub in West Sumatra.
As part of service improvement efforts, IPC TPK has added one unit of Reach Stacker to support container lifting and shifting activities in the yard. The addition of this unit is expected to enhance operational flexibility and maintain service productivity for terminal users.
IPC TPK Corporate Secretary Pramestie Wulandary stated that the company regularly evaluates equipment readiness and operational needs at the terminal.
“We continuously make adjustments and strengthen facilities in accordance with operational needs in the field. The addition of this Reach Stacker is part of our ongoing effort to ensure that container loading and unloading services at Teluk Bayur continue to run optimally and provide time certainty for service users,” said Pramestie.
Currently, IPC TPK Area Teluk Bayur operates three units of Gantry Luffing Crane (GLC), three units of Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane (RTGC), and one unit of Reach Stacker to support terminal activities. In January 2026, container handling performance reached 8,877 TEUs.
In addition to adding equipment, IPC TPK has also strengthened its preventive maintenance program and optimized equipment operational patterns to maintain reliability and minimize potential service disruptions. These measures are carried out continuously as part of efforts to improve terminal service standards.
As part of the national port ecosystem under the coordination of Pelindo, IPC TPK continues to maintain communication with associations, logistics business players, and shipping companies to ensure that service needs can be addressed collaboratively.
“We are committed to maintaining the trust of service users through continuous service quality improvements. Synergy with all stakeholders is key to ensuring that Teluk Bayur remains reliable and competitive in supporting goods distribution in West Sumatra,” she concluded.
