Jambi, April 30, 2026 – Access to clean water remains a challenge in several regions of Indonesia. Addressing this need, IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) has delivered a concrete solution by developing clean water facilities for the community in Mengkuang Belayar Hamlet, Talang Duku Village, Taman Rajo District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to improving the quality of life for communities around its operational areas.

“Clean water is not merely a basic necessity, but the foundation for public health, quality of life, and social activities. Through this program, we aim to ensure that communities have more adequate and sustainable access, while reinforcing IPC TPK’s role as part of the solution for the surrounding environment,” said Daniel Setiawan, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK.

Previously, local residents faced limited access to clean water, particularly for daily needs. This condition encouraged IPC TPK to take an active role through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, focusing on fulfilling essential community needs.

Through this program, IPC TPK constructed a drilled well equipped with supporting installations as a reliable, safe, and sustainable source of clean water. The facility can be widely utilized by the community for various purposes, ranging from household activities to places of worship.

“On behalf of the village government and residents, we express our gratitude for this clean water facility. This program is very helpful for residents who often experience drought. In addition, the water is also used to support religious activities. We hope it will provide long-term benefits in improving the community’s quality of life,” said Muslim, Head of Talang Duku Village.

Since its operation, the facility has distributed more than 125 cubic meters, or equivalent to 125,000 liters, of clean water within 18 days, with an average distribution of nearly 7,000 liters per day. This volume is sufficient to meet the basic needs of hundreds of residents daily, reflecting optimal utilization and tangible impact on the community.

This program not only delivers infrastructure but is also designed to create long-term impact through a sustainable approach. IPC TPK ensures ongoing assistance to the community in managing and maintaining the facility so that its benefits can be sustained over time.

This initiative is also aligned with the President’s Asta Cita, particularly the second point emphasizing the strengthening of national self-reliance through the fulfillment of basic needs such as water, and represents a tangible contribution from the private sector in supporting resource resilience at the village level.

In line with the company’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, this program also directly contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6: clean water and proper sanitation.

Through this initiative, IPC TPK continues to deliver TJSL programs that go beyond symbolism, creating real and sustainable impact. The company also encourages active community participation in maintaining and utilizing the facilities to ensure long-term benefits.
