Jakarta, June 30, 2023 – IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK handed over sacrificial animals in 8 provinces on Thursday (29/6). This activity is part of the Social & Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) in anticipation of the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriah. The distribution of sacrificial animals is a form of the company’s concern for the needy communities, especially in the areas surrounding the port.
“These eight provinces include Sukabumi in West Java, East Nusa Tenggara, DKI Jakarta, Jambi, Lampung, Palembang, Padang, and Pontianak. This year, we have handed over 29 cows and 2 goats at 30 different locations. The distribution of sacrificial animals has been a continuous tradition since the establishment of IPC TPK, and they are distributed to various mosques, prayer rooms, and foundations around the port area,” said Guna, the CEO of IPC TPK.
Symbolically, the handover of the sacrificial animals is done throughout the working areas by the Area Managers to the communities. The management of IPC TPK ensures that the sacrificial animals are in good health as they have undergone health checks by the Livestock Department. The “healthy” label on the sacrificial animals indicates that the cows and goats provided by the company are in good health and suitable for slaughter.
“We take the Eid al-Adha celebration as an opportunity to increase our concern, share benefits with the needy communities, and alleviate social inequalities. May the distribution of sacrificial animals bring blessings to the beneficiaries,” Guna concluded.
