Bandar Lampung, December 31, 2024 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, has launched its Container Freight Station (CFS) services for the first time in the Panjang Area, Lampung. This service addresses the needs of users for storage facilities and supports smoother goods distribution. The management of the CFS at Panjang Port by IPC TPK is planned to be carried out in collaboration with Multi Terminal Indonesia, a subsidiary of Pelindo Solusi Logistik.
Anang Subagyono, Manager of IPC TPK Panjang Area, explained that this collaboration aims to revitalize cargo consolidation activities at Panjang Port, given the strategic layout of Panjang Port, which links the Container Terminal with the CFS. This strategic position is expected to streamline logistics chains and reduce logistics costs for cargo owners requiring warehouse and CFS facilities.
On December 19, the first stuffing and stripping activity was conducted at the facility. This activity handled the stripping of four tractor units owned by the importer PT Tanindo Inttertraco, transported by PT MSC Indonesia from Qingdao Port to Panjang Port.
The CFS at IPC TPK Panjang Area provides storage facilities, container stacking yards, and spaces for stuffing and stripping activities. The provided CFS is expected to stimulate market growth and the local economy with competitive facilities in the logistics and international shipping sectors, while also attracting increased investment and trade volumes in Lampung Province.
The launch ceremony of the CFS services was held at IPC TPK Panjang Area and was attended by representatives from Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang, the General Manager of Logistics for Regional 3 PT MTI, the Sumatra Regional Manager of PT MTI, representatives from the Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office Type Madya Pabean B Bandar Lampung, representatives from the Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Office in Lampung, the Branch Manager of MSC Shipping Line, the Branch Manager of PT Tresnamuda Sejati in Lampung, representatives from PT Pulau Laut Line, and representatives from the consignee PT Munthee Ekspedisi.
“IPC TPK Panjang Area is committed to continuously providing ease of service for users, particularly in enhancing efficiency in export and import processes, reducing cargo dwell times, and cutting logistics costs. Going forward, we hope that more stuffing and stripping activities will take place at the CFS facilities in Panjang Port. We believe the launch of the CFS services at IPC TPK Panjang Area will help lower logistics costs and support the growth of trade and industry in Lampung Province,” concluded Anang.
