Jakarta, July 14, 2026 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Panjang has officially commissioned its new Quay Container Crane (QCC) 004. Following a comprehensive technical inspection, the crane was declared fully operational and fit for service in accordance with its designed capacity. The inauguration and first operational ceremony took place on July 2, 2026, at Panjang Port.

“This infrastructure enhancement is our proactive response to the continuous growth of cargo traffic in Lampung and the surrounding regions,” said Yanuar Evyanto, Acting Director of Commercial and Business Development of IPC TPK.

The addition of QCC 004 represents another important milestone in strengthening service capacity at one of Southern Sumatra’s key logistics gateways. The new Post-Panamax crane features a 45-meter outreach, enabling it to handle vessels spanning 16 to 17 container rows. These specifications allow the terminal to accommodate larger container vessels more efficiently, improving both operational productivity and service reliability.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by representatives from several key stakeholders, including the Class I Panjang Port Authority (KSOP), the Bandar Lampung Customs and Excise Office (KPP Bea dan Cukai TMP B), the Agricultural Quarantine Agency, port and logistics associations, customers, and Pelindo’s business partners.

“We expect this equipment modernization not only to increase our terminal throughput capacity but also to strengthen collaboration with all stakeholders in building a reliable and globally competitive port ecosystem,” Yanuar concluded.
