Bandar Lampung, 20 May 2026 – IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) is strengthening logistics services in the Lampung region through the operation of a container depot in the Panjang Port area, Bandar Lampung, together with PT Citra Prima Container as a strategic partner. This step is part of IPC TPK’s efforts to improve the quality of supporting services for the container terminal while smoothing the flow of export and import goods in the region.

The 10,000 m² container depot is one of the terminal’s supporting facilities that plays an important role in making it easier for service users to ship goods using containers. The presence of a depot integrated with the container terminal within a single area is expected to accelerate the logistics process, ranging from the preparation of empty containers to the shipment of goods onto vessels.

The Manager of IPC TPK Panjang Area, Anang Subagyono, said that this container depot service collaboration is a strategic step in strengthening the logistics ecosystem at Panjang Port. Through the synergy with PT Citra Prima Container as the depot operator, IPC TPK supports the availability of empty containers for the continuously increasing export needs. The integration of services between the container terminal and the depot within a single area is expected to improve the efficiency of goods distribution as well as provide convenience for service users.

“Through the service synergy between the container terminal managed by IPC TPK and the container depot operated by our partner, we strive to present a more integrated logistics ecosystem at Panjang Port. This collaboration is part of a joint effort to support the smooth distribution of empty containers for export needs, so that service users can obtain logistics services that are more efficient and timely,” said Anang Subagyono, Manager of IPC TPK Panjang Area.

In line with the high level of trade activity through Panjang Port, the need for integrated logistics services also continues to increase. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Province recorded that Lampung’s export value in January–March 2026 reached US$1.38 billion. These conditions demonstrate the importance of logistics facility support, including a container depot integrated with the terminal, in order to accelerate the flow of goods and improve service efficiency for service users.

The presence of this container depot is expected to become a concrete solution amid the rising trend of export commodities in the Panjang area and its surroundings. With an empty container distribution process that further cuts operational time, exporters can now optimize their shipping capacity. The ease of accessing ready-to-use empty containers is believed to become a strong stimulus in driving an increase in the export volume of the region’s flagship commodities to the global market.

This strategic step is also a concrete manifestation of the joint commitment of the two companies in supporting the smooth flow of national logistics. The efficient integration of services between the terminal and the container depot will minimize operational obstacles in the field. Ultimately, this strengthening of the supply chain not only enhances the competitiveness of Panjang Port, but also opens up far greater economic growth opportunities for the surrounding region.

“This container depot service collaboration in the Panjang Port area is a form of synergy among logistics players to strengthen connectivity and provide convenience for service users. With the integration of services between the container terminal and the depot, it is hoped that the logistics process will become more efficient and able to support efforts to reduce logistics costs,” concluded Anang.
