Bandar Lampung, July 29, 2026 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Panjang delivered an outstanding performance in the first half of 2026, recording a 73.7% increase in container throughput in June 2026 compared with the same period last year. This significant growth was driven by heightened trade activity in Lampung and its surrounding regions, reflected in the rapid increase of international export and import container traffic, as well as strengthened domestic logistics connectivity.

“This growth reaffirms the increasingly strategic role of Panjang Port as the primary gateway for cargo movement in the southern gateway of Sumatra. The remarkable surge in container throughput in June is a tangible result of the company’s commitment to responding adaptively to the evolving logistics market,” said Daniel Setiawan, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretariat at IPC TPK.

The strong operational performance was primarily driven by the deployment of an additional ad hoc vessel by Pulau Laut Lines, which helped address the growing demand for international shipping capacity, as well as the launch of a new shipping service by PT Buaya Mas Prima that directly contributed to increased domestic inter-island container traffic. This operational achievement was fully supported by the reliability of the terminal’s cargo handling system and the close collaboration between IPC TPK, its shipping partners, and all port stakeholders.
