Jakarta, November 28, 2023 – Recapturing the success of 2019, IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) once again clinched the Annual Report Award (ARA) 2022 as the 1st Place winner in the category of Non-State-Owned and Non-Regional-Owned Non-Financial Companies. The award was received by Yanuar Evyanto, Director of Finance and HR at IPC TPK, at the Main Hall of the Jakarta Stock Exchange (27/11). This year, IPC TPK represented Pelindo Group and stood as the sole port services company to receive the Annual Report Award 2022.
“We take pride in being selected as winners among 163 participating companies in the Annual Report Award 2022. This accolade motivates us to ensure the implementation of Corporate Governance (GCG) principles in every aspect of our company’s business processes, both administratively and operationally, enabling us to continue growing and contributing to the reduction of national logistics costs,” stated Guna Mulyana, CEO of IPC TPK.
IPC TPK was evaluated for presenting an integrated annual report, placing historical performance in context, and depicting corporate risks, opportunities, and future prospects. This approach aids shareholders and stakeholders in understanding the strategic objectives and ongoing progress of the company. Previously, in the Annual Report Award 2018, IPC TPK secured 3rd place in the Private Non-Financial Non-Listed category.
“The ARA aims to promote the implementation of Corporate Governance principles in Indonesian companies through information transparency and GCG practices assessed through the evaluation of annual reports and recommendations for improvement to all ARA participants. The assessment is based on the openness of information in annual reports that adhere to applicable regulations and guidelines, presented in a relevant and fair manner,” said Sigit Pramono, Deputy Chairman of KNKG and Chairman of the ARA 2022 Committee.
After a hiatus of several years, ARA 2023 returned with the theme “Integrated Mindset Toward Sustainability For Long-Term Value Creation” for the assessment of annual reports for the year 2022. The successful execution of ARA was made possible through collaboration among six institutions, including the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Directorate General of Taxation at the Ministry of Finance, Indonesia Stock Exchange, National Committee on Governance Policy (KNKG), and Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI).
The evaluation criteria took center stage in this year’s ARA, based not only on legal regulations, particularly OJK Regulation No. 16/2021 regarding annual reports, but also on recommendations from the 2021 Indonesian Corporate Governance General Guidelines published by KNKG, as well as several disclosure items from the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.
“This award serves as evidence that IPC TPK has implemented transparency in disclosing corporate governance practices, including sustainability, in its annual report. Moving forward, IPC TPK will enhance the quality of information presentation, promote governance practices and disclosure, and integrate sustainability practices into strategic planning and business processes in accordance with applicable regulations. Transparency is key for us in providing information services to the public,” concluded Guna.
