Jakarta, January 10, 2024 – For the first time, IPC Terminal Petikemas/TPK, a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, is providing Direct Service with Russia as its final destination. IPC TPK welcomed the berthing of MV Boson at Terminal 3 of Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta (1/9). The vessel, owned by Econship and Vistar Line with Sea Cargo Indonesia as the agent, inaugurated the service to Russia.

“IPC TPK is committed to continually fostering collaboration and synergy to enhance cargo flow and reduce shipping costs to destination countries by opening new services at IPC TPK terminals,” stated Guna Mulyana, CEO of IPC TPK.

The MV Boson, flying the flag of St Kitts & Nevis (KN), has a length overall (LOA) of 172 meters and a beam of 28 meters, carrying a cargo of 523 container boxes. The vessel will navigate the Jakarta – Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Jebel Ali – Novorossiysk route. The introduction of this service provides a solution for businesses to streamline transit times at international hub terminals, particularly targeting South Asia and Russia, thereby reducing shipping times to these destination countries.

The welcoming ceremony for this new service was attended by Ahmad Mimbar, Director of Operations at IPC TPK, representatives from Econship, Vistar Line, and Sea Cargo Indonesia. Following the ceremony, Haans Satinder, Liner Manager at Sea Cargo Indonesia, expressed hope that this new service would address the challenges faced by businesses in transit times. He conveyed appreciation to all parties supporting the launch of the new service.

“We will continue to engage in collaborations to support the growth of imports and exports, providing solutions for our service users who have entrusted us with their confidence,” concluded Guna.
