Jakarta, April 22, 2025 – In commemoration of Kartini Day, IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK), a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, demonstrated its commitment to empowering women and strengthening local MSMEs through a series of training and mentoring activities held across the company’s operational areas.

Embracing the spirit of Kartini as a symbol of Indonesian women’s struggle, IPC TPK organized cooking workshops and business mentoring programs specifically for women-led MSMEs. One of the supported MSMEs receiving special attention is Mie Lidi Kita, a snack producer based in Lampung, which is currently being developed through marketing and branding initiatives. The branding program has already shown significant positive impact, with a 28% increase in sales recorded over a two-month period.

“MSMEs are a vital part of Indonesia’s economic ecosystem. Through this initiative, we aim to provide tangible support to women entrepreneurs so they can level up and compete in broader markets. Our hope is that MSMEs like Mie Lidi Kita can grow stronger and more competitive,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary & External Relations of IPC TPK.

Through a CSR program focused on business capacity building, IPC TPK provided strategic assistance including logo design, packaging design, and support for producing modern packaging for Mie Lidi Kita’s products to make them more attractive and competitive. This branding effort has shown a positive impact, with a 10% increase in sales over three months.

This initiative aligns with Pelindo’s mission and the directives of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises to drive MSME transformation as the backbone of the national economy. IPC TPK actively contributes to strengthening MSMEs through collaboration and continuous support. The initiative also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

One of IPC TPK’s MSME partners, Hany, the owner of Mie Lidi Kita, expressed her gratitude. “We used to think branding wasn’t that important. But after getting new packaging and an attractive logo, the impact was amazing. Our sales increased, and we gained more confidence to grow our business. IPC TPK didn’t just help us build a brand, but also gave us new hope for our small business,” she said enthusiastically.

With mentoring from IPC TPK, MSME actors are expected not only to experience increased income but also to gain confidence and managerial skills to grow their businesses independently and sustainably.

IPC TPK believes that empowering women and MSMEs is not only about economic development, but also about building a more inclusive and sustainable future. Through this initiative, the company hopes to deliver a real positive impact on the community while supporting the company’s sustainable growth.
