Jakarta, February 20, 2026 – In preparation for the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri, IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) has strengthened its operational readiness by enhancing services and optimizing terminal facilities to anticipate a potential increase in cargo volume, particularly staple goods and consumer commodities. These strategic measures are aimed at maintaining terminal productivity and the reliability of container loading and unloading services across all operational areas, ensuring that national logistics distribution remains smooth, safe, and timely.
As part of this service enhancement, IPC TPK is collaborating with its partners to strengthen production capacity by adding two units of Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane (RTGC) at the Terminal Support Area of Tanjung Priok. The addition of this equipment is intended to increase flexibility in container handling and production capacity at the line-2 container yard, enabling faster receiving and delivery processes as well as container arrangement, while minimizing potential congestion during periods of increased cargo flow.
“Ramadan always brings its own dynamics to goods distribution patterns, particularly regarding the distribution of staple goods and consumer commodities. We ensure that all service processes run optimally throughout the holy month of Ramadan,” said Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK.
In addition to facility improvements, IPC TPK is also optimizing its operational work patterns through adaptive scheduling, strengthening coordination with port stakeholders and other port-related parties, and utilizing golden time—periods without vessel activity—to conduct preventive maintenance on equipment. The availability of spare parts is also ensured to maintain equipment reliability and prevent operational disruptions.
Supervision of Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) aspects has also been intensified, in line with the company’s commitment to maintaining productivity without compromising the safety of personnel working in the field during the holy month.
“We want to ensure that the increase in public demand during Ramadan does not face any obstacles at the terminal. We have strengthened all operational readiness so that the national logistics flow remains well maintained,” Pramestie concluded.
Through a combination of strengthened facilities, operational optimization, and intensive coordination, IPC TPK reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a reliable national supply chain throughout Ramadan 1447 H.
