Jakarta, April 23, 2026 – Efforts to enhance the smooth flow of logistics in western Indonesia continue to accelerate. PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Teluk Bayur Area, in collaboration with PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP) Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch, has officially established an operational synergy to optimize the utilization of berths and cargo handling equipment at Teluk Bayur Port, West Sumatra.
This collaboration is part of cross-functional coordination within the Pelindo Group, integrating container terminal management, multipurpose services, and on-site operational support to create a more efficient and integrated service system.
“This synergy is not merely operational cooperation, but a concrete step to ensure that every port asset is utilized optimally,” said Erika Sudarto, Operations Manager of IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area. “Through the integration of berths and cargo handling equipment, we aim to drive faster, more efficient, and reliable service flows for all port users.”
Through this agreement, both entities integrate the use of berth facilities, provide competent cargo handling equipment operators, and support services such as stevedoring, lift-on/lift-off (Lo/Lo), and haulage. The provision of weighbridges for handling dry bulk cargo is also strengthened to ensure accuracy and efficiency in every loading and unloading process.
Intensive coordination across operational lines is key to implementing this collaboration. Alignment in vessel berthing planning, equipment readiness, and cargo flow management is carried out in an integrated manner to reduce waiting times and increase terminal productivity.
This synergy, initiated through the signing of an agreement at Pelindo Tower, Jakarta, further reinforces Pelindo Group’s commitment to building a sustainable logistics ecosystem, particularly in West Sumatra as a gateway for commodity distribution.
The signing ceremony was attended by Pratiwi Karim as Senior Commercial Manager of IPC TPK, Erika Sudarto as Operations Manager of IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area, Fauzi as Branch Manager of PT PTP Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch, Billy Agus Nugroho as Deputy Manager of Operations Support at PT PTP Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch, along with the management of IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area.
Erika emphasized that this cross-entity collaboration will serve as a crucial foundation for driving port performance going forward. “With strong cross-functional coordination and integrated asset utilization, we are optimistic that cargo handling productivity in Teluk Bayur will increase significantly and deliver sustainable impacts on regional economic growth,” she concluded.
