Jakarta, April 27, 2022 – The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings and is the best time to share with others. Taking advantage of the moment of Ramadan, IPC TPK held various sharing actions with others as a form of concern and social responsibility towards the company’s environment. Starting with distributing basic necessities, sharing free iftar meals (takjil), providing orphans with aid, and concluding with the Safe and Healthy Homecoming program with BUMN 2022.

Providing for orphans is a routine activity every holy month of Ramadan. This activity is organized by IPC TPK in the midst of the Safari Ramadan event where the Board of Directors of IPC TPK visited operational areas to socialize with management, users, and business partners located in 6 working areas throughout Indonesia. The purpose of the Safari Ramadan is to strengthen ties and to improve good relations with all stakeholders. The agenda for this Safari Ramadan activity is filled with field visits to monitor operations, Ramadan studies, iftar meals, and the distribution of aid in the form of basic necessities and aid to orphans.

Donations in the form of basic necessities are also distributed to loading and unloading workers, sanitation and security personnel, orphanages, and residents around the port. Amid the decline in people’s purchasing power due to rising prices of basic necessities as well as oil and fuel prices, donations in the form of basic necessities are expected to help alleviate the burden on people in carrying out their worship during the holy month of Ramadan. A total of 500 (five hundred) packages of basic necessities, each worth Rp 165,000,- contain 5 kg of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, sugar, and instant noodles.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, IPC TPK has prepared 1,750 iftar meals for loading and unloading workers and truck drivers passing through Tanjung Priok Area 1, Tanjung Priok Area 2, and Terminal Support Area. These iftar meals are intended to ensure the smooth running of loading and unloading activities at the port because loading and unloading workers and truck drivers can continue their activities when the time for iftar arrives.

At the end of the holy month of Ramadan, IPC TPK collaborated with Pelindo Group to organize a program called Safe and Healthy Homecoming with Pelindo 2022. IPC TPK prepared 5 bus fleets with a total capacity of 250 travelers to provide convenience for people who need to travel to their hometowns for free. With the Jakarta – Solo route, the bus convoy departed from Gelora Bung Karno on April 27, 2022.

“We hope that the various aid programs designed by IPC TPK can provide positive energy and strengthen optimism in the month of Ramadan. In addition to ensuring optimal loading and unloading services, IPC TPK will provide real support to workers, users, and the surrounding community and encourage contributions that provide good and sustainable impacts,” said Wahyu Hardiyanto, President Director of IPC TPK.
