Jakarta, April 5th 2021 – The cases of COVID-19 continue to climb, amidst the vaccination programmes that are being promoted by the government. IPC Terminal Container / IPC TPK, a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero), to encourage all port stakeholders awareness to remain comply towards health and safety protocols by distributing New Normal Kits at Tanjung Priok Port.
“Our CSR activities are aims to remind all port stakeholders while they have been fully vaccinated, they should not be careless about the probability transmission of Covid-19. IPC TPK will take persuasive steps to reduce the number of Covid-19 transmission, especially in the port area. Even though we already doing most of the services online, the interaction with service users in the field cannot be avoided. ” Irwan Favoriet Plh Dirut IPC TPK said.
600 package New Normal Kit including masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectant spray and alcohol wipes were distributed to service users and container truck drivers in 4 (four) different locations in Tanjung Priok Port, that is Tanjung Priok 1 Area, Tanjung Priok 2 Area, Support Terminal Area and Billing Center. This event has been held since 2020, 5.000 new normal kit packages were distributed to employees, operators, securities and service users in the container terminal area in 6 ports managed by IPC TPK including Tanjung Priok Port, Panjang Port, Palembang Port, Pontianak Port, Teluk Bayur Harbor and Jambi Harbor.
“There are misconception that Covid-19 vaccine can make our body immune to Covid-19 transmission, which lead the reduction in obedience of health and safety protocolos in the society. The event was held to support the government programs to reduce the transmission of Covid-19. It is also can make the service users feel comfort and safe to come to the IPC TPK work area. ” Irwan said.
