Jambi, June 17, 2026 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Jambi Area has supported the smooth export of 19.2 tonnes of Kerinci Robusta green coffee beans to Egypt through its reliable and integrated container terminal services at Talang Duku Container Terminal. The shipment forms part of ongoing efforts to expand international market access for one of Jambi Province’s flagship commodities while enhancing the global competitiveness of locally produced products.
The export comes amid a positive trend in Jambi’s plantation commodity exports. According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Jambi Province, exports of coffee, tea, and spices increased from US$1.12 million in March 2026 to US$2.0 million in April 2026. The growth reflects expanding international market opportunities for the province’s leading commodities and demonstrates the increasing competitiveness of Jambi’s products in the global marketplace.
The export ceremony was attended by representatives from Jambi Customs, the Jambi Provincial Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), the Sungai Penuh City Branch of HIPMI, and other relevant stakeholders. Their participation highlighted the collaborative efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of Jambi’s leading commodities and expand their reach into international markets.
Wedhar Tani Aji S, Terminal Head of IPC TPK Jambi Area, stated that the shipment of Kerinci Robusta coffee to Egypt demonstrates the strong potential of regional commodities to compete globally when supported by an integrated logistics ecosystem.
“The export of Kerinci Robusta coffee to Egypt demonstrates that regional flagship commodities are highly competitive in the global market. We remain committed to ensuring the readiness of our terminal and logistics services so that export activities can be carried out smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule, thereby supporting the growth of international trade from Jambi,” said Wedhar.
He added that Jambi is home to a wide range of export-oriented commodities with significant growth potential, including coffee, cinnamon, areca nuts, rubber, and various plantation-based products. Efficient logistics services, he noted, play a crucial role in connecting these local products with international markets.
“In principle, the port is fully prepared to support the continued growth of exports of Jambi’s leading commodities. Beyond coffee, there are many regional products with strong export potential. Unlocking these opportunities requires close collaboration and synergy among the government, businesses, industry associations, and other stakeholders to maximize their contribution to the regional economy,” he added.
