Jakarta, April 10, 2023 – PT IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK has signed a Cooperation Agreement with Pelindo Regional II Jambi regarding the operation of a back-up area in Talang Duku Port, Jambi. The back-up area in Talang Duku Port will become a support for loading and unloading services at the Jambi Area container terminal to increase service productivity and efficiency.
IPC TPK Jambi Area Manager, Anang Subagyono explained that this back-up area will be an additional service provided to facilitate service users in preparing cargo before loading onto the ship, making it more efficient in terms of time and operational costs. The intended service integration is also expected to ensure standardization of services provided to service users.
Service users and associations welcome the transfer of the Talang Duku back-up area operation to IPC TPK. This service integration will provide assurance of container readiness, benefiting service users, especially shipping lines, regarding the certainty of ship departure schedules and reducing the time spent at the port.
Effective from April 1, 2023, IPC TPK will manage the Talang Duku Port back-up area that was previously managed by Pelindo Regional 2 Talang Duku. Services provided include: Stuffing, Stripping, Receiving, Delivery & Stacking of containers. The transfer of the back-up area is marked by this Cooperation Agreement, signed by the President Director of PT IPC Terminal Petikemas, Guna Mulyana and General Manager of Pelindo Regional II Jambi, Ahmad Fahmi, at the Pelindo Regional II Jambi Office.
“It is expected that the new IPC TPK service can continue to contribute to the efficiency of loading and unloading and encourage economic growth, especially in the Jambi region,” concluded Anang.
