Jakarta, April 11th, 2023 – Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 H, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK distributed food aid packages to ease the burden of the surrounding community in meeting their needs during the month of Ramadan. Thousands of food packages were distributed in the working areas of IPC TPK in Jakarta and Pontianak. The symbolic distribution of aid was delivered by Yanuar Evyanto, Director of HR and Finance at IPC TPK.

“Ramadan is a good moment to share the benefits with others. This activity is part of IPC TPK’s Social and Environmental Responsibility Program in Ramadan, which we regularly carry out every year. This year, IPC TPK distributed 1,200 food packages,” said Guna Mulyana, President Director of IPC TPK.

In addition to the community around the port, the beneficiaries of the food aid packages also include stevedores, security personnel, cleaning staff at the port, and IPC TPK’s community partners. In the midst of declining purchasing power due to rising food prices, these food packages are expected to ease the burden of the community in fasting during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Furthermore, IPC TPK also distributed 1,200 iftar meal packages through their IPC TPK Berbagi Takjil program for stevedores, truck drivers, and service users passing through the port area. This program is expected to improve the smoothness of loading and unloading activities at the port so that stevedores and truck drivers can remain active both before and after breaking their fast.

“Considering that the port is a limited area, the sharing of takjil program is expected to make it easier for port stakeholders to obtain iftar meals. Through this activity, we hope to help the community around the port,” concluded Guna.
