Jakarta, February 2nd, 2022 – As one of the national vital objects and understanding the importance of the port’s role in the country’s economy movement, safety aspect becomes a mandatory priority. Starting from the importance of safety factors in the port environment, IPC Terminal Petikemas held the National K3 Month Seminar involving service users and work partners at the port. With the theme “Make Safety as a Culture in All Aspects,” this seminar aims to provide education about the importance of implementing K3 culture in all aspects at the port.

“In this opportunity, we mobilize all partners and service users in the IPC TPK work environment to collaborate in implementing K3 by complying with traffic signs in the field, always using Personal Protective Equipment, and increasing alertness in carrying out activities,” said IPC TPK’s President Director, Wahyu Hardiyanto, in his opening remarks. IPC Terminal Petikemas is committed to making legislation as a guide in implementing occupational health and safety to ensure and protect workers. Through this seminar, IPC TPK strives to prevent work accidents, work-related illnesses, and work-related diseases by implementing the Zero Accident principle and the application of the 7 Golden Safety Rules.

Present as speakers were the Head of the Supervision Section of the North Jakarta City Administration Labor Transmigration and Energy Sub-Office Kusmulyasari, SH, Labor Supervisors of the North Jakarta City Administration Labor Transmigration and Energy Sub-Office Daud Tangguh, and a representative from Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, Nurhakim.

“This seminar is one of a series of efforts to realize IPC TPK’s Zero Accident through the Improvement of Safety Culture, Improvement of Safety Awareness, and Enforcement of violations that occur. Hopefully, with this activity, in the future, all entities within the port are obliged to know and apply work safety protocols in the port,” concluded Wahyu.
