Jakarta, August 20, 2026 – PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) reaffirmed its commitment to supporting environmental rehabilitation efforts and strengthening coastal ecosystems through its participation in The North Green Movement, initiated by the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) of North Jakarta. Through a collaboration under its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, IPC TPK took part in a mangrove planting initiative held at the Angke Kapuk Protected Forest Area in North Jakarta.
Carrying the spirit of “Together Protecting Jakarta’s Coast, Preserving the Future,” the collaborative movement successfully brought together 3,000 mangrove seedlings through the support of various stakeholders, including HIPMI, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, and the business community. The event was also attended by Hendra Hidayat, S.IP., M.A., Mayor of North Jakarta Administrative City, as a form of support for collaborative efforts to protect and preserve Jakarta’s coastal ecosystem.
Victor Herryanto, Chairman of BPC HIPMI North Jakarta, stated that The North Green Movement is not merely a mangrove planting activity, but also an effort to build shared commitment and responsibility in protecting coastal areas.
“Protecting coastal areas is not only an environmental issue, but is also closely related to the sustainability of cities, economic activities, and the future of generations to come. We hope this movement can become part of a collective effort to sustainably protect Jakarta’s coastal areas,” said Victor.
