Palembang, August 14, 2026 – IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship in communities surrounding its operational terminals by providing four waste collection carts along with supporting cleaning equipment to IPC TPK Palembang. The assistance was directly handed over by Adi Saputra Darmansyah, Terminal Head of IPC TPK Palembang, to H. Wiyanta, S.Pd., M.Si., Head of Ilir Timur II Urban Village, and the neighborhood leaders representing the beneficiary communities: RT 18/RW 02 of 5 Ilir Urban Village, RT 18/RW 01 of Lawang Kidul Urban Village, and RT 19/RW 01 of Lawang Kidul Urban Village. This initiative forms part of the company’s concrete efforts to promote cleaner, healthier, and more well-organized residential environments.
Daniel Setiawan, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretariat at IPC TPK, stated, “This initiative reflects IPC TPK’s concern and commitment to facilitating waste collection while fostering collective awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness.”
The distribution of this assistance is aligned with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, the program supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by helping minimize the risk of diseases caused by accumulated waste; SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by promoting more livable residential areas; and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by encouraging an efficient domestic waste management and sorting system.
The initiative also reinforces IPC TPK’s commitment to supporting the national priority agenda of the President’s Asta Cita, particularly the second Asta Cita, which focuses on strengthening development at the grassroots level, including neighborhood and community units (RT/RW), as well as the eighth Asta Cita, which emphasizes maintaining harmony with nature and the environment.
The synergy between IPC TPK, the urban village government, and community leaders in Ilir Timur II, 5 Ilir, and Lawang Kidul ensures that the assistance is well-targeted and delivers meaningful benefits. The newly distributed waste collection carts are expected to optimize the daily mobility of sanitation workers, helping to prevent potential pollution and drainage blockages in densely populated areas at an early stage. The handover ceremony was held at the IPC TPK Palembang Representative Office.
