Jakarta, March 17, 2026 – Worship activities at mosques increase significantly every Ramadan, from tarawih prayers to Quranic recitation. To support the comfort of congregants, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) laid out prayer mats or worship carpets spanning 480 meters across eight mosques located in eight urban villages surrounding Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta.

This program is part of the company’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiative, focused on strengthening worship facilities for communities around the port’s operational area, particularly in welcoming Ramadan and in preparation for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

Through this initiative, IPC TPK provided direct support to mosques that serve as centers of religious and social activity during Ramadan. The presence of new prayer carpets is expected to enhance the comfort of congregants while creating a positive ripple effect for the surrounding community, given that mosques also serve as gathering and interaction spaces for residents throughout the holy month.

IPC TPK’s Corporate Secretary & External Relations, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that this carpet donation reflects the company’s concern for the needs of communities around the port area.

“Ramadan is a moment when worship activities at mosques intensify — from tarawih prayers and Quranic recitation to various other religious activities. Through this program, we hope the community can carry out their worship more comfortably and with greater focus,” said Pramestie.

She added that the worship facility support provided to the eight mosques across eight urban villages is hoped to bring broader benefits to the surrounding community.

“Mosques are not only places of worship, but also centers of community togetherness during Ramadan. We hope this contribution can support the community in carrying out their full range of worship activities and welcoming Eid al-Fitr with greater comfort,” she added.

Through this initiative, IPC TPK aims to ensure that the company’s presence in the port area goes beyond its role in maintaining the smooth flow of national logistics — it also actively contributes to the social and spiritual well-being that directly benefits communities around the company’s operational area, particularly in the vicinity of Tanjung Priok Port.
