Celebrate the 9th anniversary, IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK held a mass circumcision program as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. A total of 400 (four hundred) children living around the port area enthusiastically participated in the mass circumcision activity organized by IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK which falls on July 10, 2022.
As a form of Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), this mass circumcision program is dedicated to orphans and underprivileged children in 5 port areas, including Tanjung Priok, Teluk Bayur, Panjang, Palembang, and Pontianak.
“In the series of celebrations for IPC TPK’s 9th anniversary, we initiated this Mass Circumcision as a form of contribution to the surrounding community of IPC TPK’s operational area,” said Wahyu Hardiyanto.
IPC TPK’s Mass Circumcision is the result of cooperation between the TJSL Division of IPC TPK and PPDI (Islamic Preaching Development Center) of IPC TPK. The method used for this circumcision is the laser circumcision method, which has the advantage of shorter bleeding or faster wound healing time, and the processing time is also much shorter.
Mass circumcision is held periodically during school holidays in Teluk Bayur area on June 29, 2022, followed by Tanjung Priok area on July 2, 2022, Palembang area on July 5, 2022, Panjang area on July 7, 2022, and Pontianak area in the second week of July 2022.
“Our hope is that this mass circumcision activity can alleviate the economic burden of families and improve the harmony between IPC TPK and the surrounding community. Circumcision has many benefits, including maintaining physical health and cleanliness, as well as completing worship,” said Wahyu Hardiyanto, Director of IPC TPK.
Not only do participants receive free circumcision, but they also receive school supplies, prayer equipment, circumcision-specific pants, snacks, lunch, and monetary gifts.
