Jakarta, April 4, 2024 – As Eid al-Fitr approaches on the 1st of Shawwal 1445 H, IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK today bid farewell to the departure of hundreds of participants of the TJSL Homecoming Program with BUMN Pelindo 2024. Five buses meeting tourism standards transported 250 homebound travelers from Jakarta to Semarang, departing from Field 223x at Tanjung Priok Port. The symbolic departure was presided over by Pelindo’s President Director, Arif Suhartono, accompanied by the Subholding Directorate and one of Pelindo’s Business Subsidiaries, including the Director of Human Resources, Finance, and Risk Management of IPC TPK, Yanuar Evyanto.
“Alhamdulillah. I am very happy to join Pelindo’s Free Homecoming. It was very difficult to get tickets because there were so many applicants. This is my second time participating in this program. Thank you IPC TPK, my whole family can ride the bus together. Hopefully, this program can continue because it helps us, low-income communities,” said Sukarwi, one of the homebound travelers heading to Semarang.
The TJSL Homecoming Program with BUMN Pelindo 2024 was organized through the cooperation of the Pelindo Group and simultaneously implemented in several regions in Indonesia. A total of 55 buses were simultaneously dispatched from Tanjung Priok Port to various cities in Java. The public’s enthusiasm for this program was extraordinary. Registration, conducted online and open to the public, had to be closed shortly afterward due to the allocated quota being filled. In the end, the free homecoming program not only became a tradition but also truly provided a solution for those in need in Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
Similar to previous years’ arrangements, IPC TPK provided various facilities for participants of the TJSL Homecoming Program with BUMN Pelindo 2024, such as standard tourism buses, lunch, snacks, drinking water, uniforms, and souvenirs. Before the departure process, all drivers and assistant drivers underwent health checks (urine tests) to ensure the safety and security of the travelers on their journey to the destination cities. Thus, IPC TPK strives to provide a safe and comfortable Homecoming journey for the travelers.
“The community’s enthusiasm is truly remarkable. Many participants are domiciled outside the Tanjung Priok Port area, such as Bogor, Bekasi, and Tangerang. The coverage of this program is extensive, indicating that the community benefits from its implementation. In the future, IPC TPK will continue to support Pelindo and the Government’s initiatives related to free homecoming,” said Yanuar, Director of Human Resources, Finance, and Risk Management of IPC TPK.
During the month of Ramadan 1445 H, IPC TPK implemented a series of TJSL Programs, including distributing staple food packages to TKBM workers, security personnel, and the communities around Tanjung Priok Port, as well as providing iftar meals at Tanjung Priok Port.
