Lampung, September 2, 2024 – IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) has entered into a collaboration with stakeholders to ensure optimal docking and container handling services. This partnership involves IPC TPK Palembang Area, seven shipping companies, and Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, solidified through a joint agreement aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of container traffic at Palembang Port.
Pramestie Wulandary, Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK, emphasized the importance of cooperation among various stakeholders involved in port activities. “Each stakeholder plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth flow of goods and the efficiency of container handling operations. Collaboration is one of IPC TPK’s key strategies to provide the best service to our clients.”
IPC TPK Palembang Area signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA), Service Level Guarantee (SLG), and Berthing Windows with all the shipping companies handling containers in Palembang.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Manager of IPC TPK Palembang Area, the Commercial Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, and representatives from seven shipping companies, including Samudera Agencies Indonesia, Bintika Bangunusa, Pelayaran Sukses Sindo Damai, Indonesia Fortune Lloyd, Lautan Jaya Manggala, Jayabersama Makmur Line, and Temas Shipping.
“The joint commitment with IPC TPK today aligns our vision and mission to ensure swift service for both vessels and goods. We hope that this will expedite ship turnaround times at the port and reduce logistics costs. We appreciate IPC TPK’s initiative in this regard,” said Iwan Simangunsong, General Manager of Samudera Indonesia Palembang.
In July 2024, IPC TPK Palembang Area handled a total container throughput of 10,295 TEUs, reflecting a 1.08% increase compared to July 2023. The volume of imported and exported containers rose, particularly for commodities such as wood products, palm oil, fertilizers, chemicals, equipment, and general cargo.
